Client error: "System could not find the phonebook entry for this connection". |
|
Client connection error: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection"
Problem
The above error occurs when the user tries to open the AccessMyLan client software.
Explanation
This error occurs if the “Dial-up networking” connection for AccessMyLan has been deleted. When the AccessMyLan client is installed a “dial-up networking”connection is also created. The client uses this connection to connect to the AccessMyLan service. On a PC with a correctly installed client this connection can be seen by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections.
When the above error occurs this connection has been deleted.
Resolution
The client software needs to be reinstalled to resolve this issue.
The user should remove their current client software using Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
Their administrator should then install a new client or generate an email invitation for the user to install a new client.
