Question Title How to configure a Sarian mobile router for AccessMyLan Mobile APN access
How to configure a Sarian mobile router for AccessMyLan Mobile APN access

A mobile router containing a SIM enabled with AccessMyLan access creates an instant, portable VPN which can be dropped into a remote office, shop, building site etc to provide connectivity back to the network.
The guidelines below are based on the Sarian HR4110 router.

Create a user on the AccessMyLan administration site for the mobile router:

  1. Login to the administration site at www.accessmylan.com.
  2. Go to Users » Add User » specify a username and password.
  3. Select "Mobile APN" as the access method.
  4. Specify your country and operator and then select "3G Router" as a device type.
  5. Specify the type of credentials to be used.
  6. Take note of the configuration details (Access Point Name, username and password).
Configure the Sarian router:
  1. Insert your AccessMyLan-enabled SIM into the router.
  2. The default address of the router web interface is 192.168.0.99. You will need to configure your PC with an IP address in the same subnet (192.168.0.*) to allow you to connect to this interface.
  3. Point your browser at 192.168.0.99 and login (the default username and password is 'username' and 'password')
  4. Go to Configure » GPRS » SIM 1(assuming you entered your SIM in the SIM 1 slot)
  5. Beside APN enter the Access Point Name (as noted from the AccessMyLan website) and click OK at bottom of the page.
  6. Go to Configure » PPP » PPP 1 (In the standard shipping config for most Sarian products PPP 1 is set to dial out on GPRS).
  7. Specify a name and beside 'GPRS SIM' specify SIM 1
  8. Beside 'Username' and 'Password' enter the details given previously on the AccessMyLan website.
  9. Scroll down and click OK. When prompted choose "Save to flash".
