Client error: "Cannot resolve VPN server name"

Error: Cannot resolve VPN server name

Symptom
The user receives the error "Cannot resolve VPN server name" when they attempt to connect using the VPN client software.

Resolution
This error message implies that there is a problem with the user's internet connectivity. Their DNS (the service which resolves names to IP addresses) is not working correctly. Try reconnecting the internet connection. If this does not solve the issues the user should contact their IT department or Internet Service Provider to resolve this.
