How do I setup Endpoint Controls on my VPN?
The AccessMyLan service includes built-in Endpoint Controls, which allows an administrator to set specific access rules ("quarantine rules") to be applied to users connecting in from a device which does not meet the endpoint control criteria. When an administrator enables Endpoint Control they can check that the client machine is a member of a domain and/or that the user is logging in from a machine with a client that was issued to them.
1) To enable Endpoint Control for the VPN:
Login to the administration website at www.accessmylan.com
Click on
Network and then
Endpoint Control/Quarantine
Click on the Enable button.
2) To define the Quarantine ACL:
Click on
Rules and then
Quarantine Access
Define the Services which should be allowed to users in the Quarantine state.
3) To enforce Endpoint Control for a user:
Click on
Users and then the username you wish to modify.
Expand the
Network Access Policy section and tick the
Enforce Endpoint Control box.
Configure the Endpoint Control settings as required and click Save.
