Question Title Client error: "Authentication Failed" (error 691, 734)
Client connection error: "Authentication Failed" (error 691)


This message occurs when the user attempts to connect their client if:

  1. The user has entered the username or password incorrectly
  2. The user has been disabled by their administrator.
  3. The user is locked out following multiple failed login attempts.
  4. The user is already logged in from another AccessMyLan client.
  5. The user is attempting to login during a time which is outside the “allowed times” as configured by their administrator.
  6. The entire VPN account is disabled.
 
The administrator can determine the specific reason why the authentication failed by looking at the Failed Logins report on the administration website [Click on Reports -> Failed Logins].
