How do I connect to a server in my office?
When your AccessMyLan client is connected your computer has a full network connection to your office network. How you use this connection depends on your situation:
• Open your email application, fileshares or other software as you would when working in the office.
• Use Windows Remote Desktop to view the screen of a computer in the office (View this How-to document for information on setting up Windows Remote Desktop)
If you get an error while trying to access your email, fileshares or applications over the VPN, click here for troubleshooting help!
Note!! Users will not be able to “browse their network” using My Network Places. My Network Places uses a type of network browsing which is not supported over any VPN. This browsing relies on each machine present “broadcasting” it’s presence and is essentially a very traffic-heavy process which does not work over VPNs.
