Question Title How can I authenticate my users using my own RADIUS or Windows authentication?
How can an administrator authenticate their users using their own Windows domain or RADIUS server?
How to configure authentication using RSA / tokens.

The users of an AccessMyLan VPN can be configured to be authenticated by

-           AccessMyLan (this is the default setting)
Or
-           Single-Sign-On (SSO).

SSO means that the users will be authenticated by the company’s own Windows Domain (or a RADIUS server) within their LAN.   When an SSO user connects to the VPN, AccessMyLan forwards their username and password to the Domain Controller (or RADIUS server). The server will return an “authorise” or “deny” to AccessMyLan and based on this the user will be allowed or denied access to the VPN.

To “turn on” SSO on the VPN:

  1. Login to the administration website.
  2. Click on Network (under Configuration) and Single Sign-On.
  3. Tick either “Enable SSO (Windows Domain)” or “Enable SSO(RADIUS)”.
  4. If using RADIUS you will need to enter the Server name, port and Shared secret.  AccessMyLan will use this information to forward requests to the RADIUS server. Please note the machine which is hosting the AccessMyLan agent will need to be setup on the RADIUS server as a RADIUS client.
  5. If using Windows Domain authentication no other details need to be supplied, but the machine hosting the AccessMyLan agent must be a member of the domain.
  6. You will be prompted to Restart your Agent so that the changes can be applied.

To configure a user to be authenticated by SSO:

  1. Click on Users (under Configuration) and click on the username required.
  2. Expand the “Authentication / Lockout Policy” section
  3. Change the “Authenticated by:” dropdown to SSO
  4. Click on Save.
